For 26 years, Kathy has helped clients address their financial concerns and develop sound strategies by focusing on each individual’s specific needs. With extensive experience throughout major shifts in the markets, Katherine has dedicated her career to delivering the personalized investment planning services her clients deserve.

Kathy began her career as a Financial Advisor in 1998 with Morgan Stanley in New York City, where she developed her fundamental investment knowledge.

In 2002, Kathy earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification by completing an approved educational program, passing a rigorous examination and meeting stringent experience requirements.

She joined Wachovia Securities, a predecessor firm of Wells Fargo Advisors, in 2008 to take a team approach in providing personalized financial advice for individuals and families.

In 2016, Kathy obtained the Certified Investment Management Analyst® certification after completing her coursework through the MIT Sloan School of Management. Only 2 percent of financial services professionals hold CIMA® certification, which is delivered by Investment Management Consultants Association®* and is the only credential designed specifically for investment advisors and consultants.

In March of 2018, Katherine, Barbara, founded Rhinebeck Wealth Advisors with immense help from Doina. They opened their first location in Red Hook, NY in 2018 and their second location, in Great Barrington, MA in 2021. In October of 2024, they moved the Red Hook office to Rhinebeck, NY.

Kathy’s passion for learning doesn’t end there. Growing up on a sailboat, Katherine learned to enjoy exploring new places and new people. She loves to travel and has driven cross country and traveled extensively abroad to places like Tanzania, India and many European countries. While earning her bachelor’s degree at Mount Holyoke College, she worked as a bartender at a small hotel for a summer in Paris. After college, she settled in New York City where she spent 13 years.  In 2010 she moved to Woodstock, NY where she spent the next decade. She now lives in Great Barrington, MA with her husband, daughter, two dogs, two goats, and cat.  Her mother also lives on their property.

Kathy spends her free time with her husband, Scott and their daughter, Ruthie. They love road trips and hiking and biking in the Berkshires. They like to stay active both physically and mentally.  Kathy is an avid sailor and practices Ashtanga Yoga on a daily basis. She successfully completed three marathons in 2002, 2003, and 2023.

Scott M. Reisfeld

Financial Advisor

contact

Scott is amazed that combining his deep love for truly getting to know people with his deep love for all things financial is something he can be paid to do. We are excited to have him aboard and look forward to clients and prospects getting to know his intellect, humor, and ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple way.

As a member of Morgan Stanley’s Hedge Fund Analysis team during the depths of the financial crisis, Scott developed an appreciation for the complexity of the global financial system and is grateful for the opportunity to help individuals, families, and institutions navigate these ever-changing waters.

In addition to his time on Wall Street, Scott brings with him experience in the tax and software industries, as well as a deep and varied skillset gained from years spent as a stay-at-home father running multiple small businesses. He hopes to serve as an example to and advocate for parents (particularly fathers) who would like their lives to include both a meaningful professional career and a break from that career to raise children.

Scott holds undergraduate degrees in Philosophy and Economics, both from the University of Michigan. He was accepted into the Masters of Statistics program at Columbia University (but declined to instead care for his daughter).

He lives in the beautiful Berkshire Hills region of Western Massachusetts, with his wife, daughter, and many animals. His outside interests include hiking, travel, sports, and quantitative trading system design.

Doina did not always know that her career would be made in financial services. In fact, she calls her experience with the profession “love at second sight.” From her first days as a wire operator, Doina’s passion for the industry – and the good work she can do for the clients she serves – grew. As she rose in the ranks over the years, Doina became devoted to cultivating relationships with clients that are based primarily on trust. In that way, Doina and her team are able to help guide their clients’ investment strategies on a course toward success, taking into account each individual’s unique needs and wants.

Doina joined Raymond James in March 2018. She began her career in financial services as a wire operator working in the “cage,” entering manual trades at the Greenwich, Connecticut branch of A.G. Edwards & Sons. She transferred to the White Plains, New York branch in 1996 – a location she stayed at until taking a 10-month hiatus from work to care for her first child. She then restarted with A.G. Edwards & Sons at their Fishkill branch, where she worked as a wire operator and financial associate. While there, she earned her Series 7. In 2003, Doina passed the Series 66 and earned her Accredited Asset Management Specialist™ designation. In 2011, she earned her New York state insurance license.

After 15 years of service and a transition to Wells Fargo Advisors, Doina earned the title of Senior Registered Client Associate. Five years later, she became a Senior Registered Client Associate – Officer.

Originally from Romania, Doina moved to the United States by herself when she was 16. She currently makes her home in Tivoli, New York with her husband of 23 years, Stephen, her youngest daughter, Alina, and their two dogs. The couple also have a 20-year-old daughter, Nicolette, who is finishing her third year at Hunter College. In her free time, Doina serves as a PTA member and enjoys doing CrossFit and running 5Ks for various local fundraisers.
